As an avid weather buff and former Louisiana resident, I have seen my fair share of hurricanes. We never fled a single one, instead having parties in typical New Orleanian fashion. And to be honest, Frances scares the he11 out of me. If I were there, I wouldn't be.
To all down there in her path, I wish you much luck, with your families and your animals...don't forget the kitties and puppies too!

Thanks Yasser. It should be an interesting weekend. My original plan was actual to bail and head to NO for the weekend to party it up, but its impossible to get anywhere on the roads, so looks like I'll be sitting through this one. I'll try and get some pics to post for everyone before it gets too bad or after its over.

My family is also staying. Never had plans of leaving (We left for Andrew as we lived right next to homestead where the eye of the storm was. Needless to say we no longer had a house. On the upside we had forclosed the week before, talk about LUCK!) No boards just water and food. Are house was built before having shutters wasn't an option. Anyways we'll see how it goes. Worst comes to worst and the balls will be with me in a nice safe spot in the middle of the house (luckly I only have 5 babies and 3 adults!).
