My daughter won the class tadpole before summer vacation and the teacher did not know the type. Can someone please help. Freddy is now part of the family and I would like to at least know what kind of frog he is. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. He only seems to jump around when he chases the crickets.
Looks like a Southern Leopard frog, found in, you guessed it, the southern United States. The northern leopard frogs are usually more greenish. Cool frog you have there. How's your setup?

2.1 Ball pythons: Goblin, Nothing, and Bela
1.0 Boa Constrictor Imperator: Apache
0.1 albino Cranwell's horned frog: Bene
1.0 Tiger salamander: Slasher
1.0 black kittycat, Inky
A bunch of Oscar cichlids, one giant pleco, huge breeding lot of "fancy" (read: deformed) goldfish, and me an' the boyfriend.
I have Freddy in a 10 gallon tank with a large Repti-Rock water dish, a small cave and a rock to sit on. The substrate is ZooMed Terrarium Moss.
try switching to beda beast or eco earth, it will last much longer than the moss and as long as it is kept damp it will look nice too. good luck
