one of my balls has lumps

eunectes4 Sep 03, 2004 02:31 PM

the underside of my 2 month old ball python kind of looks like my green anaconda when her diet was snakes. it has a few lumps on the belly. I have never seen this before and am sure it could be a number of things but I just wanted to get some suggestions to what you all might think of it. I have seen snakes that were backed up (if you saw my post a while ago about the giant dump from adult female) and none have had lumps. thanks in advance for any input.

If they are large solid internal lumps, then it is probably hard dry feces/urine balls. Soak it for a few hours, and it should pass them.

thanks..thats what I was thinking but there could always be worse. The snake is in shed right now so I think it should take a big one after as most other snakes love to do. If not I will go for the soak. Thanks for responding Chad dispite the harshness we had with the yellow belly thing. 12 lagers at 3 am but no hard feeling later. I like that : ) thanks for being the only one to respond as well since it does help calm a little nerve. we tend to think worse on animals when they are young and expensive.

We all get ignorant sometimes, and I'm no exception, except for the fact that I will admit it...LOL.

Good luck
