If so, please give your opinions, as to safety, temps etc. Also, what would be the best way to use it in a 24"L X 12"T X 12"W enclosure, made from MDF and lined with rubberized Contact paper? It will be used for Copperheads. Many Thanks in advance.

Its a fairly new product recently put out by them. I hate there UTH love all their other stuff tho.
Lia
I think it is going to revolutionize the way racks are heated in the future.
There are a variety of companies selling the stuff now.
I am curious to hear more responses to this one myself.
What i like about it so far...is that it has a better chance of grounding out than catching fire due to overheating/overpowered type mishaps (ie,thermostat/rheostat goes bad).

So far I see no one answered your post as to if they actually use one. I am curious to how they are because I hate their UTH .
Looking for something that can be buried in actual sand tho curiuos about this.
Lia
Lia- why do you hate their uth? just wondering because i was thinking of trying one. i have trouble getting the kind i have to stick to the tank.
I hate it because it goes up to the insane heat it cracked 2 of my tank glass bottoms. Granted I dont use a heat temp controller. However after buying new tanks because of those erratic garbage heat pads I bought cobra heat pads which I LOVE as far as a steady 100 degrees with no temp controller.
The drawback tho is that I had to duct tape them they dont stick on but thats ni big deal. I heard ecco-terra is also good.
Zoo med makes nice bulbs, etc which I use but would be amazed if any UTH out there worst.
