My female Alexandra has been eating a lot less lately and staying in her hide spot until much later in the morning than she used to. And my male Gumby seems to be going to sleep a little earlier in the day, though his appetite is strong as ever. Can they be getting ready to brumate this early in the year? If I start shortening their days now, even if I let them sleep a long time they'll wake up again in the middle of winter! That doesn't seem right to me.
They're in captivity so maybe it doesn't make any difference what time of year it is. But their cage gets some natural light in addition to the lamps, so they probably do notice when the sun is up.
