Tea Water

micky-kennie Sep 03, 2004 04:22 PM

OK, I finaly finished planting my vivarium and it looks great! One problem though, the water won't stay clear, it becomes a darker tea color. The water is not dirty, it is clear but colored. You can easily see thru it, similar to a light color tea. I know that this is because the water runs through the dirt, but I have a decent gravel layer too. My question is first can I somehow unstain the water? Second if I can't unstain the water, is this ok for the frogs since they can get into the water? Thanks to everyone for your help!

Water changes and carbon filtration will remove or reduce the color.
