I use several rocks, a large bark slab, some short lengths of bamboo, and some 2" PVC pipe partly buried in my 55 gal cage. I also use a substrate with a lot of peat moss or coconut fiber added to help their tunnels maintain shape. The substrate is graded from 2 inches on the shallow end to 6 in the deep end.
You can add as many furnishings as you like, but I've found that they still prefer to be underground as opposed to under cover. One thing that gets regular use is the large rock placed under the basking light. The female loves to hang out on it during the late stages of egg gestation. The only time the rest of the objects really come into play is during feeding time.
