They'll eat small crickets, and they relish spiders. They require a smallish cage (otherwise it is hard for them to find their food in the cage). This is one snake that does great in clean washed playsand, maybe a rock for fun, and a small shallow water dish. That's about it. I had one for a year or so before turning it loose where I found it (only off of the street this time.) It did great and grew in my care. Keep in mind you won't see it much, and when you do it will be at dusk or evening for the most part.
