coffee33 Sep 03, 2004 07:49 PM

I live in the mid-westren Nevada here in Dayton,NV near carson city and I caught a really big collard lizard and I want to know how to sex them.
Hes about 12 inches or more, light to chocolate brown bands and spots, with white to cream spots and very faded yellow bands. He also has some blue under his neck.
Thanks in advace guys!

From your description and from the area you named, It sure sounds like a Male C. Bicinctores / Mohave Desert Collared

Here is a photo of a pair, the male is the one on the ground.

Sure sounds like thats what you caught! Let us know !

Good luck, with him, they are quite awesome !
