I have seen a ton of adult females and hundreds of hatchlings this year. In the past ten years I have only seen a handful for sale, are they being farmed? At any rate I have 10 hatchling on the way!

Im not sure good luck with your blandings... i finally hatched three spotteds with tthree more on the way. My female has been infertile for five years
Congrats on the baby spotted. They are the best turtle ever aren't they? I had thirty eggs this year but a very, very STUPID mistake killed most of my eggs. When my females were gravid I use potting soil insted of top soil. I think the chemicals in the soil killed the eggs. Only the eggs that were laid in top soil hatched. I feel like a dumb a** but a hard lesson learned. The one good thing was that the 30 eggs came for only five females and it was only the second breeding year for 3 of them.
