Shedding

mizar 21 Sep 03, 2004 09:44 PM

How long is the shedding priod for an iguana ? Mine is shedding for almost a week now, starting with the head and now its the body and limb. Yesterday i give him a bath, and i peel some of the LOOSE skin. Is it a good idea to increase the humidity ? My other lizard lose appetite in their shedding period, is it the same with the igg ?

Also another question, just for curiosity, if they broke a spine on their back, did they regrow ?

It is a good idea to give shedding lizards a bath and a rock, if possible.

Be careful peeling shed. It is hard for human folk to resist, but we can peel too much and hurt the lizard.

Try Bio-Mist by T-Rex to help the shedding process. I like this product alot. Since I started using it everyday on my ig, his skin sheds much easier and it seems much healthier.
