tomorrow will be day 55 of my clutch, so I think I am going to slit the eggs. The eggs have been colapsed for a little while now. I think I might have 2 good eggs if I am lucky.

I should be ok to slit them right?

You will be okay slitting them, but you don't have to, they will slit them when they are ready.

......what if they are only ready to hatch on day 64?.....now they are cut open and drying out?........maybe die......

wait till half of them pip on their own....then slit the rest......

this is for everyone.....not just you .....thanx.......everyone is always in a hurry....I know...some of the people slit them at day 53 even....and at times it didn;t hurt.....

***they never print where they had stuff die....or be born pre-mature...only to have it die later....or take a week anyways for the cord to unattatch from the stomach.......and all the while they worried it would not make it.....

I am just a little worried, remember me with all the problems to get to this point. I had 7 eggs in the beg and I think I made every mistake a new person can make and maybe mother nature got an egg or two also(but mostly my fault). I am not even sure if the 2 eggs I think are good are really good, I have one window egg that is 50/50 and another one that now has turned to all mold so am not really counting that one. what if my two are the weak two that might have trouble. Guess I will wait a few more days I have noticed in most of the recent clutchs that have been hatching out they were above day 60.

it just bugs me that people cut them all the time.....early and not even when they are ready......

.....if they look ok.....let them be.......

sounds like they are not perfect.........we cannot see them to give you a head's up on what troubles they have......sorry....
