Hi
Of the people on this board that has experience with Galaps, what is the youngest galap you have heard of that has laid fertile eggs? I have a female that is only 12 years old, but is easily over 250lbs. I have heard of others her size laying, but they were a few years older (about 15, I think). They were geochelone Nigras like mine. I realize that some of the smaller races of Galaps would ofcource, breed at a smaller size.
Most of us know, that with alot of species of captive torts, they breed according to size and not age so much and I was wondering if it is the same with galaps. I seem to remember reading that aldabras will breed at a certain size as opposed to age, and they are a similar, if unrelated species. Thanks
