Update on Cyclophiops

rearfang Sep 04, 2004 08:23 AM

In the last two days the 2 eggs finally hatched from the Ryuku green snake. the first was a male (perfect) and came from a very fungused egg. The second was a female from the larger egg. She unfortunately came out deformed. One coil of her body is jamed into the skin so there is a large (3/4 of an inch) bump on her (she is 5" long). What is particularly sad is she is very active and alert. Since they eat soft foods (worms)which lowers the threat of blockages) I will maintain her for a while and se what happens.
