Yes there are 2 genes for albinism.
The Kahl Albino is commonly refered to as the "Original Strain".
If you breed a Kahl albino to a Sharp albino, NO you will not produce Albinos. You will produce NORMAL looking boas het for kahl/sharp albinos.. you would have to breed to back to the parents or to eachother to produce albinos. You said that you reserved a pair of Sharps - so that means your getting a male and female SHARP Strain albino. If you breed these two together, YES you will get albinos your first breeding.
>>>>Ok, thanks for answer. If I understood it rightly, it means that there's 2 genes for albinism, so we can produce two kind of albinism: Kahl and sharp lines; but these lines are incompatible between them, if so, they'd produce normal albino boas doble het kahl and sharp types.
>>>>Well, that's important for me to know, becouse I reserved a pair of sharp albinos from a breeder, and I thought that the incompatibility was about fertility or malformations on the future litter.
>>>>So, if you're right, there's no problem crossing a sharp one and a normal albino; it would produce normal albinos, but 100% healthy and fertil babies. If I'm wrong please let me know, and again, thanks so much from Spain.
