beardie is WHITE!!

i woke up today and my male beardie is solid white.......what is causing this? anyone know? could it be my uv bulb is not giving off any uv anymore, bulbs are about 5 months old now.....need info please!!!

*sarcastically* well there is the teeny weeny ity bity chance that it culd be getting ready to shed. or its just changing color. but my guess is the shedding

both of my beardies had a full shed about 3 weeks ago.....still shedding??

It is very unlikely your dragon will change colors overnight, even if the UVB rays from your bulb have stopped. Most likely your dragon is in shed again and/or has turned pale because he was asleep. Most dragons turn very pale durning the night and morning before waking up. They also go paler when they are getting too warm. Just as dragons will be dark when they first start basking to increase the amount of heat/light absorbed, they can lighten their coloration to lessen the amount of heat/light absorbed.

Also, it's not unusual for growing dragons to shed every couple of weeks if well fed and growing.

anyway. your dragon is probably either getting ready to shed. or was just in his/her light colors. nothing to be worried about.
