BCI color question......any ideas??

gardenmum Sep 04, 2004 02:40 PM

I got two BCI a couple months ago, a female circle back with some nice pink tones and this very light male. He finally shed for the first time for me and his colors are extremely light. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea of what coloring I could possibly expect from him at maturity. I mean, should I expect him to stay light or to get real dark? I love how he is but with all the pictures I have seen of Columbians, I have not seen one light like him that wasn't an anery and I know he is not an anery.

Any thoughts????? I have attached multiple pictures of him taken a couple days after he shed.

I really love his color.

A very close shot of just his head.

This is a very close shot of a part of his side looking down into the coiled part. His sides are pretty clean.

I like him a lot, but he probably won't develop a lot of pink or orange; but who knows for sure?

How old is he? I have a female het Kahl-albino that I was sort of disappointed with until about 9mos. and then *BAM* PINK]
Nice snake.

No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful. Everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful.

Jeremy, I am not sure exactly how old he is, only that I purchased him on June 6th, so I have assumed he was born sometime toward the end of May. I don't mind if he stays close to this color and doesn't develope pink, I kinda like him this way. But pink would be fine also. I just wasn't sure if it was possible he could end up turning more dark like a normally dark Columbian or stay more like this as these are my first two boas and I haven't been able to find any pictures of any his coloring.

Thank you for you help and your compliment. I will be enjoying seeing how he and the girl I got mature.
