Still has not shed, a light almost white silk like look. But still is very light yellowy colored, like Mom (Chia)

hatched July 5th so already 2 months, Brock I know you said it takes several months with this species to ID the sex, but one can hope, lol (I'm still hoping female )

I see no signs of dark gular area yet. Have either one of you guys ever been able to guess correctly at this age??

Come on guys, work with me here ! heheheheheh !

How much longer?

Chippewa, unsexed C. Vestigium

guess I'd better watch what I THINK from now on! LOL...

As far as sexing the young C. vestigium, it still could go either way, Eve. Like I suggested in a previous post, the longer that lizard maintains the same general appearance as in the above photo (i.e. no onset of male sub-adult coloration or dark pigmentation in the gular area), the greater the likelihood that it is a female. We should perhaps get a better idea once the lizard finally does shed for the first time. Similarly, that is about the time I am able to get a preliminary read on the genders of my juvie C. dickersonae... By the way, have you checked for enlarged postanal scales on the young C. vestigium? I believe this can be a distinguishing characteristic with some - but certainly not all - C. vestigium males, to varying degrees...

I will send it to you and Will, Looks a bit different than C. Collaris.

A few large scales, but not a ROW like collaris males. Let me know what you think.

I tend to think female, but the couple larger scales threw me , so I'm still up in the air !

I've had one for almost a year and I'm not sure what sex it is.
I'm assuming it's a female. I'll get pictures soon.
Twice in the past I had one I was sure was a female because no dewlap color. It was not growing fast but then all of a sudden it started maturing and got a dewlap color.
