my bp has mites. I was wondering how long a mite can live without drinking any blood. I was thinking I could put my bp in another cage without mites for a certain amount of time, then when I put her back in first cage, the mites would be dead. coult I do this? would it work?

Transferring a snake with mites to another cage will spread mites to the other cage. Get something to treat the cage like Reptile Relief or Provent-A-Mite to treat mite infestations. In addition to using a treatment you can let the snake soak for 30-45 minutes; some of the mites will come off that way. Also use paper towels as a substrate while treating so that you can see if the mites are still there.
