Anyone know what it is? We found him when we were trying to secure things for the hurricane. I know NOTHING about snakes, any help would be appreciated.

Yeah....It's a water snake of some sort...(I'm thinking a banded, but as I don't know water snakes too well, can't say for sure.) But I CAN tell you that it IS a water snake, and as such is completely harmless...He may be ill-tempered, but he is completely nonvenomous.

Yep, it is a Florida water snake, harmless.

Harmless yes, nonvenemous, be careful

While the saliva of a watersnake has 0 effect on humans, it does have minimal neurotoxic properties, used for paralyzing fish to make them easier to hold. The definition of venemous would include these, even tho as we all know they are harmless animals.
