Computerized heating

CaptainHook2 Sep 04, 2004 10:57 PM

I'm thinking of attempting a multi area, computer controlled heat system for my big cage. Multiple mini heaters at several locations throughout the cage that adjust for daytime and nightime temps as well as basking and temp gradient. Next will be automatic humidity adjustment. I figure it just has to do with many switches and allot of wiring. Anyone ever done this before?

Totally not worth it. If you want the best control, go with proportional controllers for non-light emitting heat panels. You can use 2 controllers and two panels, or else GCS has a 4-channel controller.

Any other way is alot of money and work, and when your computer crashes, your whole system is down.

That thing is bad a--. I think that's exactly what I'll use once the second floor goes in.
