question about cage.......

nei Sep 05, 2004 12:07 AM

ok... I'm sure your sick of getting questions about cages, and cage sizes, etc..... but, well, heres another one!!!

well, I have two young water dragons in a small tank(30gallons), and I need to make a bigger one for them, (obviously)(and which I'm sure I'll be asking you about also), but that will take a while, SO, I was going to either keep them in that tank until I figure out a bigger one for them, in which case I will probably be able to get the bigger one faster -OR- get just a larger tank (55gallons) for now while I figure out a nice and big setup for them. What do you think would be best for them?

OK, I think I am going to get a 90 gallon that way I know they will be ok for now until I figure out one that will fit them when they are adults. BUT my new question is, their young now, about how long do you think they can stay in this size tank?
I'm geussing before thier 2 feet long they'll need to be switched, so how long does it usually take for them to get that big?

without being unrealistic something atleast 6Ft high, 4ft long, 3ft in depth, someting with atleast a pool that covers 1/3 of the bottom with filter systems and pumps.

for now that 30 is way too small, go look for the 200g reptarium ive seen them for 99.99 in some online stores, there 6ft high but im unsure of the other ways but that will hold them off for the time being instead of buying a 90G glass aquarium.

it will take them pretty much 2yrs to reach full growth but will need the space well before then.
