Chris....Tracking light question

doubleok Sep 05, 2004 12:51 PM

I just wired a tracking light to go in my bearded dragons cage...but the problem is that my water dragons are in there now...I'm moving the water dragons to a bigger enclosure later. But my question is that is there something I can do about the space in between the lights so as to keep the inside of the track from corroding? Could I use the Great Stuff expanding foam to fill in the gaps between the lights on the track? I don't plan on adding any more lights because what the track is only 2 foot long and I have three lights on it. So is that ok or what? I would preferably like an answer a.s.a.p. because I'm working on it today, and I can't really move on until I find out. All help is appreciated.

oops....the reason I want to fill in the gaps is because of the humidity inside the cage. There won't be very much humidity later when I move my beardies into it, but there will be humidity now.

I think it would be better and cleaner to use just some silicone clauk. It is waterproof and does not conduct electricity.

Sorry, I have no idea what would be safe to use in such an application.

Good luck.
