how many times should the incubator be opened a week?

NickLucier May 14, 2003 08:04 PM

I'm tryin not to open the incubator more then every other day, is this too much? im only opening the incubator to check water levels and humidity is opening the lid letting out too much heat? how many times do you seasoned breeders check on your eggs?

If you can see the temp readings from outside the box, there is no reason to open it at all.
However, the small fluctuations caused by opening the lid shouldn't cause too much difference.
