Balls are know for their hunger strikes for no reason but can you give them a break from feeding voluntarily with an early extended brumation? I will be away for 3 months and was thinking of brumating my ball phyton for this period. I have control over the heat and light using timers and thermostats etc. my parents and brothers will remain home. They can easily check for the temps and timer that they are working fine but they are not reptile people and cannot really handle the feeding and cleaning. He eats well, very well actually, he’s over 3 feet and less then a year old. Would it be ok?

Balls don't really bruminate, and it seems like a bad idea to lower the temps then leave - what if he gets sick from his lower temperatures? Either get a friend to come and feed your snake, or find a babysitter...but to me cooling him then leaving sounds like a bad idea.

even if you wouldn't let it feed...it still needs to drink.....about at least twice a week it will need watered......

and if it drinks....it will make it's cage dirty and wet with urine .......so it will need cleaned.....

it isn't grown yet...so it should be fed......

yes it could go a 3 month period.....but as said...I wouldn't do it.....

teach mom,dad,brother.....or let someone else babysit for you....
