Visited my local zoo today and saw this unidentified snake on display.

Is it a Rat Snake? Our local zoo here in SW Louisiana is wonderful but sometimes it takes them awhile to place identifying signs on some of the caging. This is the first time I had seen this guy. What is he? Thanks.
