Possible het pricing ?

coldthumb Sep 06, 2004 12:16 AM

The market price for possible het caramel females was,what...$900 to $1200 this last year (03 hatchlings).
What do you all think a fair price is for 04's or even 05's ?

On another note...
What about the value of females born from a 50%/het caramel male to normal females ? 25%er's ?

There is no way to tell, so they are all 50% poss hets, and well worth what you will usually pay for them. It's that simple!!

50% ph to normal: Based on the laws of probability, the possible outcomes are:

1. The parent was a het and so babies are 50%, or
2. The parent was not a het and babies are normal.

When compounding probability (chance that parent AND baby are hets), you just multiply, so 25% is accurate, as in, if you breed lots of 50% poss hets to normals, out of hundreds of babies, 25% of them should come out hets.
