Funny story

I am sure everyone here knows how good Tegus are at escaping but did you know they are good at break ins as well? Lucky is about 30” nose to tail and about 2-3 months ago he decited he no longer wanted to live in his 40gal breeder. I was in the process of building him a new home; in the mean time I just gave him free roam of a spare room. He is always getting into something but after hearing quite a commotion in the other room imagine my surprise to find that he had broken into his old home. Sorry the pictures aren’t better but I thought he might be getting out soon after. I was again suprized that he decited to spend the night. He did this same routine for the next few days until he found another place in his room to sleep.

It is amazing how smart these little guys are. I have had mine break out but never did they break back in. That is great though. Each one of mine have their own favorite spot to run and hide in when they get out so it is too easy for me to find them till they catch on and change their routine. Good luck
