I have just recently been talked into purchasing a pair of Rosey Boas from a friend of mine. (Keep in mind I am a bird person so all of this is new to me
I am told she is due to give live birth next month...so now I have a few questions about what to do. The male and female are caged together currently and are due to be brought to my home this evening. Do I need to separate the male and female? I do not want to stress her by separating the pair, but do not want to leave them together if there will be a danger to the babies or her after birth. I am also told that as soon as possible after birth I need to separate the babies from each other and their parents to make sure everyone is given the chance to feed and to feed them within 12-18 hours after birth. Is this correct also? I am also told to place them on aspen bedding only or repti bark...sorry for all of the questions...I raise exotic birds and have had several lizards, tarantulas, etc... as pets, but this is our first snake.
Thanks!
Cynthia
