Ground Skinks and eggs

Keith Hillson Sep 06, 2004 12:40 PM

I have some Ground Skinks Scincella Laterale and one of the females laid eggs . Three of them total to be exact. Im keeping them in my snake room where I incubate all my colubrid eggs and Im assuming 82 is an OK temp for incubation. Also whats the best thing to feed the adults ? Keep them humid or dry ? Thanks for any info.

imnot sure about the eggs but i know that they need to be kept hunid in a forest setup.if youve seen them in the wild they are alost always found in a forest near water.also these skinks can jump into the water to elude predators.ive kept them before but they ended up as food on accident in my old community tank.hope this helps
