zev420 Sep 06, 2004 03:14 PM

hey every1, new here. i am a recently new leo owner and wanted 2 ask a question about feeding. i feed my girl about 6-7 mealworms ever other day with repcal. she eats everything i put in her dish and she's very healthy and active. the question i have is if it is safe for her to eat those mealworms when they are in the pupa stage of a beetle. any info would be great. thanks

I'm pretty sure it is. Still usually Leos won't eat the beetles cause they have a bitter taste to them. They will eat the pupae though. Are you breeding mealworms??

Mine eat the "aliens". I dont' recommend feeding the beetles their shells will be harder to digest and they will have less meat
