Ventilation

ball_boi Jun 25, 2003 05:54 PM

Hello again. I recently have switched my caging to rubbermaid and was going to drill holes when i realized i didn't really know how many i needed. I ended up drilling around forty on both sides and about 60 on the top, with a 1/4 in. drill bit. Does that sound like a enough? I think it is but i wanted to get everyone's spin on it.

In general, if you can achieve correct temps, a reasonable level of humidity and no drafts (from air conditioning vents for example), then the more ventilation the better. Structurally with a plastic sweaterbox, there are only so many holes you can put in. I think you're fine. Alot of people maintain young/small boas in plastic boxes with far fewer holes than you have.
