hi im new to the forum and just caught a western massasauga a week ago.i was in the country looking for reptiles and on the way back to the properties gate a snake crawled out into the middle of the road.after i found out what it was i caught it and took it back to the house.when i got back to the house i looked in a field guide and confirmed it was a western massasauga.it was a baby that had one button.it was about 7 inches long.i let it go this weekend.this was the first masasauga ive ever seen and i thought it was really cool.are they a common venomous snake or are they kind of rare.i would eventually like to keep one but until i am 18 and move out it will have to wait.could anyone give me some info on this snake and possibly how to care for it.thanks for your time
