I just bought 2 young rats, a male and female. The guy in the store told me that in 4 months or so they were gonna be ready to breed. Im hosting them on a 10 gallon aquarium with some food for mice. I'll post some pictures of the size of the rats tomorrow. Any advice on keeping them? Is it true what the store guy told me? Or when will they be able to breed?

If they are young rats (in the 100-150gram range) then I would say you will see babys sooner. If it takes 4 months it is not gonna happen in my humble opinion. Outside guess.....with real young rats is a month to settle in and another to gestate. 2 months....babies. Babies wean at 4 weeks and often breed at 8 wks. I hold mine til 12 weeks depending on how well they have grown. Magic.
IF they are older rats and bigger....like 200grams plus. then it may not happen at all. After several months you can be pretty sure you either don't have a pair or someone is infertile. Start back with small babies.
