These things are popping up everywhere around here in the woods in/near Dallas TX.

Have no idea what it is but it's sure is bright and pretty...

Rattlesnake Master or Button Snake-root (Eryngium yuccifolium). In Cajun French, herb a serpent a sonnet, which means the "plant used against rattlesnake bite."
