Many alligator lizards around me

dtsdragon Sep 06, 2004 10:25 PM

I have caught many alligator lizards and let them go about a week later. And just woundering I dont see that many any more around my house could they have went somewhere else or how could I get more around my house I am thinking about breeding them and when they are adults I will let them go in diffent areas around my neighbor hood to breed with the wild population.

#1 Your best bet is to let them go when they are babies its not a good idea to release adults, you don’t want the lizards to use to being around people. Now to the other matter. An associate of mine had a similar problem. He eventually took about 1 in every 10 S. Alligator Lizards we found and took them home and released them in his yard. Today he still tells me stories about seeing them all over the place in his yard.
