feeding crickets?

mn9796 Sep 07, 2004 01:40 AM

What are the best things to feed the crickets to get the right vitamins to FBTs? I have been feeding them 1-2 crix each per day. I dust with RepCal Herpavite multi. Is that enough? Should I do this every feeding? I have been feeding the crix potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and dried krill. What else can I do to get the right vits to my toads?

While it is true that 2-3 crickets 2-3 times a week might be enough to keep them alive, mine eat much more than that and are very happy. My FBTs will glady consume 3-6 each every day. I have had no ill effects of feeding them so much, and I enjoy feeding them by hand every day. So... I say feed them as much as you want, but no less than approx. 1 every day or 2 every other day. But that's just my own experience with my own toads.
Best of luck and I hope this helped.
