Carrot tail turned yellow??

SableLynx Sep 07, 2004 04:45 AM

I am just kind of browsing the classifieds to see what out there when I see one for sale that has 2 pics. One pic is how she looked when they got her, the other what she looks like now. She changed from a nice looking carrot tail to a yellow. They stated it was due to breeding her. Is this normal, or was she overbred? I was just wondering as I am so new to all this.

Hmm. Not sure why the color change. Overbreeding would effect the female's body with weight loss and mineral deficiency. I don't think that would effect her color. Usually when leos are stressed they get darker in color, not lighter.

Yes, colors can wear out from breeding.
