Firebellies

Crassus Sep 07, 2004 06:46 AM

Hi, I'm from Denmark, Europe!
I’m seeking a breeder of the Firebellie Boa.
I hope to find a breeder in the Florida state.

And, what is the marked price on this boa, at the time?

I dont think you understand what I`m referring to ?
There is a member here on KS that had a male for sale recently,I dont know if he sold it or not ?
He post`s under the handle of BCIJOE/Joe Rollo
Try checking the post over the last week or so and you`ll see him listed, you can also find him in the Classifieds,he always has some very clean snakes for sale.
You can find him with minimal effort I assure you, here are the pics he sent me on the snake in question.

Regards

There is a distinction.
I believe it is only the island form from The Bahia Islands or Roatan Island that can be Firebellies.
The male I recently sold did have an Orange Belly but didn't compare to a true Firebelly.
Their bellies are fire red/orange and creep up the sides.
My guys sides were totally clean and most of his belly did have good orange.

True Firebellies are somewhat scarce these days and whoever has them is not really letting them go.

Good luck to you all in finding some of these amazing animals!

Take care, Joe Rollo - BciJoe

I`ve been hot on this subjects trail now for two weeks
and what I`ve found thru talking with recent years keepers/breeders is,The "Firebellies" are the Dyer mainlands and the Sargent "FireBelly" is the Insular variant and or Roatan two completely different critters as the majority has stated their opinion(s)then theres some that still refer to them as all the same locale which is Pure D blind BS !.Call it a play on words or wording if you will but stranger things can happen without proper documentation. Which has been clearly proven with abit of leg work and right contacts thru reliable sources.
To compound this issue the people that have bred and are planning to breed the two are really stirring up a sh*t storm.
