Keeping Day Geckos w/ Cresteds???

Psylynt Sep 07, 2004 07:17 AM

I have read in the "big" Rhacodactylus book, that they've had luck keep cresteds w/ pink tongue skinks in a large enclosure. Being that day geckos are also diurnal, was wondering if anyone would say this was a very bad idea. I've built an enclosure about 32" W X 20" D X 34" H. Any help/comments is appreciated.

IMO, mixing species is just a bad idea. this only promotes disease, in my eyes. i could be wrong, but that my view on the topic.

I keep my 2 cresteds in the same tank as my gold dust day gecko. They have lived together for about 6 months and are doing great. As a matter of fact the day gecko and the 1 crested sleep next to each other every single day. they look so happy together.
If u are going to mix species though, keep a close eye on them, in case they get angry w/each other! good luck

How old were your geckos when you put them together. Mine are still sub-adults. Not quite sure if they are male/female yet. Thanks for the help!
