elaphe janseni - unusual

nydon Sep 07, 2004 08:02 AM

If anyone likes jansen's out there then perhaps you will enjoy this picture. This is a wild caught but I have had it for almost one year now and it is doing well(eats like a pig). I have never had another like it but plan on breeding it to a melanistic phase.

That's a very interesting snake. I wish these would start coming into the United States again.

What size box is that in your rack system?

I am not sure of the size but I can check on it for you. I live in Korea and they are longer than what I used in the US but not as tall. It is very limited as to what is available over here as most are either too small or much too big. Most everything I use here is a modification of the norm and I have had to be a McGyver of sorts. I travel to Indo several times a year so I can hand pick my imports and am always looking for something above board. I like the pics of the malaysians that have been posted on this forum and will be going to Malaysia next month (first time there) so I will see if I can find some as nice as the ones posted.
