Mold on eggs

churchy1 Jun 25, 2003 06:46 PM

How do you get rid of mold on eggs, my eggs are 7 days old and look to be good but there is small spots of mold on them. I wipe it off with a damp Q-tip every day. I have candled them and I can see veins and they glow slightly pink.

Wipe them off with warm water and take a dash of athlete's foot powder (or similar anti-fungal powder) and sprinkle it around the eggs, and use an extremely tiny amount on the eggs themselves. DO NOT put too much (too less is better) because too much will poison the developing babies. If there are other healthy eggs in the container, move them to a seperate container to prevent the mold from spreading to them. Good luck!!!

I did move the moldy eggs to another container I most likley should have moved the good eggs though. Oh well, I will try the antifungal powder I hope it helps and thanks for the info.
