maclen Sep 07, 2004 11:05 AM

ok i just walked into my room and i have a few sandstone rocks in my beardies cage...well one is covered in real liquidy poo and my whole room smells. the poo is a normal coloration and everything and it isnt completely liquid, there is some chunks in it. the smell is nothing new, but this much liquid is. i have been getting my beardies on lettuce much more now since they are both about 2 1/2 years old. is this normal, if not any solutions? sorry for being so graphic but i just want to type this so i can get out of my room thanks

i also added corn to their salads, so could that have had any effect?? he hasn't been acting wierd or anything, he has a humongous apetite, always eats most of his greens.

.... and probably why your dragon has the runs. lettuce contains too much water. better to use greens such as mustard, collard and turnip greens, and veggies such as squash, zuchinni etc... go easy on the corn, its hard to digest also.

go to beautifuldragons.com for a great nutrition guide.

also - smelly poo is a sign of possible parasite infection, so if you've not had a fecal exam done recently you should get your local herp vet to do one.
