Can I put a leopard gecko in the same housing unit as my bearded dragon?
First off, leos and Beardies don't come from the same habitat or even the same continent so they shouldn't be housed together. Basically, if they aren't from the same region and exact same habitat, and don't coexist in the wild don't try mixing them. It may be okay at first, but eventually one will become ill or highly stressed. Creating a seperate setup for your leo shows that you have the leo's best wishes at heart and want to give it optimal conditions. Good luck!!!

Well, the only advantage would be that leopard geckos are high in calcium, which would be good for the beardie when he eats the leopard gecko.
Even if it's a baby bearded, you're going to have to seperate them in a few months when the bearded gets big enough to swallow the gecko whole, so why not do it now?
absolutely not. Your beardie will eventually get big enough to eat your leo, and a beardie has different requirements, for example they need their basking spot at 105-115 degrees, which is about 20 degrees hotter than leos need it. definately dont even attempt to try it.

I agree with the others, your beardie will eventually eat your leopard gecko. I have 3.3 beardies and my 500 gram male is always eyeing my leos when I take him out of his cage to run around the herp room. My leo cages are high enough so it's out of his reach but I know he would eat them if he could reach them.
In addition to the other points made, beardies generally carry coccidia and it doesn't give them much problem. But it is often fatal in leos, and definately makes them very sick.
You should not let them have any contact with eachother and should always wash hands before hadling one after handling the other. Co-habitation would be murder.
