lol..
but Jeff is correct.
I had this happen as well.. cleaned up the 'wound', went back to work, found some discoloring and sharp pains, which were not normal. Two more teeth ended up pushing their own way out.
No more pain and wounds healed up...
Several months later I notice a small bump after I banged it into something (my hand, and no, not that way) so I checked and sure enough there was one I had missed.
By this time, the body naturally wrapped it up in cartilage and whatnot to protect the rest of the body, so it's in its own little pocket and still there. You can see the outline of it and actually move it around with your finger. Doesn't hurt unless I squeeze it hard or hit it, which I don't normally like to do.
Went to the doctor and asked him to remove it and he told me that if it not causing me problems, it's best to leave it there, because operating now can sever nerves and cartilage and not only chance losing feeling and control of my finger, but also leaving a bigger bump of dead cartilage than before.
So now it's a pick up line for the girls.. 'Wannna play with my finger?' ..lol.. well, not really, but you get the idea.
