Egyptian Tortoise

outbackx Sep 07, 2004 06:33 PM

I have been in the market for a hatchling Egyptian tortoise for quite some time, but can't seem to locate one. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I got mine from a breeder at the Daytona Expo. They are not easily found. In fact I have only ever seen one person on kingsnake ever say they had them. So good luck.

Oh and a husband

Check these two links:

http://www.dwherp.com
http://www.monkeyfrog.com

Both are excellent sources and really know what they're doing. If you really want an Egyptian you have to be checking KingSnake daily, in fact thoughout the day. You must have the money ready to spend and have it ready, or someone else will grab it out from under you while you are "thinking about it". When I had my colonies of Egyptians, I had all 12 sold within one day of the ad posting, most were gone within a couple hours.
For me, they were a difficult species to keep, however they were a lot of fun as well. Especially the clucking sounds they make when they breed!

Hope that helps and good luck.

email me directly and I'll send you 2 good sources.

Dan Wolfe is a very reputable breeder that has been around a long time also.
