What all do ya'll other Louisiana hobbyists keep/breed?
I breed ball pythons....have a clutch hatching as I type this....and I have a bunch of boas....should breed this upcoming season.....and I have a Tiger and Super Tiger retic....as well as some Anacondas that I'm getting rid of soon....
I also have a savannah monitor, 2 beardies, day gecko, corn snake, and albino corn snake.....

I also breed rats to feed them all....I'll get some pics up soon of some of my stuff.....

What you got?

I currently have 2 Fire-bellied toads, one fire-bellied newt, one house gecko, 2 albino oscars, numerous bettas and feeder crickets, guppies, and ghost shrimp.
I plan on getting into bigger things later on, but don't have room for much more right now. I really want to get something I can handle. Any suggestions? Other than snakes... my boyfriend is afraid of them.. LOL. Thanks in advance.

Many Rhacodactylus in my collection. Mostly ciliatus (Crested) and auriculatus (Gargoyles). Can't really get into snakes b/c the fiance does not like them, so none at this time. Plenty of fish, feeders and a single feline in the bunch also. Plan on expanding my Rhac collection to some of the bigger ones pretty soon.

Not really familiar on geckos and such....I'd like to see what kind of cool stuff you've got. Are any of ya'll going to the shows in October....for some reason the Northshore and Mandeville shows are within a weekend of each other?...oh well...any shows around here are good anyway...

I need to take some more/better pics of my stuff and I'll post it on here.

Maybe some other types of lizards? If you want something that eats rodents....my monitor is very handleable....once you get him out the cage....
If he's in his cage he will bite anything that moves around. If you were to get one...try and get one as a baby...and handle it often. Other lizards may work....all I can really think is snakes...but I know you can't get any....but thats a suggestion.

Hey Luke! I was happy to see you and your Dad at the Reptile Shows. The reason for the 2nd Northshore Show one week before the 2nd Mandeville show is lack of viable dates. Too many things going on elsewhere and that date was the only fit. As for herps, I keep carbonaria (red foot tortoises), both the imperator and constrictor species of boas, red variety of teguixin (tegu), nasicus (western hognose), carolina (box turtles) and smithi (red leg tarantula). The main thrust of my interest is red phased South American reptiles. My next acquisition will be a red phased cenchria (Brazilian rainbow) or the carbonaria from Brazil (cherry head red foot tortoise). ~Bill~ email: wildtropics@cox.net
