I have a 2 yr. old male hypo. that has not taken a meal in six weeks. He has been on frozen thawed since he was very young and has never skipped a beat until now. He was previously eating rat pups weekly without hesitation. I have tried most tricks that I have used on stubborn baby corns with no success. I am just curious how long I should give him to fast before I worry?

I have a male ghost that did the same thing. He has been eating f/t mice since I bought him over a year and a half ago as a baby. A few weeks ago he stopped eating and just kept wanting out. I came to the conclusion, with help from folks on this forum, that he was wanting to mate. (I have a female amel, also). I didn't let him mate (I don't think my female is big enough, plus I don't want to breed them) and after about a month of not eating he finally ate again, shed again and seems back to normal. He is more calmer now. So maybe yours wants a mate also.
