Female Leo Not Eating

JWags Sep 07, 2004 11:11 PM

Hey, I have two female leos and a male. I ahve had them for about 2-3 months. They were voracious feeders eating regularly and filling themselves. They have slown down a bit, one female has an inexhaustible appetite and the male eats well, though he is a bit smaller. However, in the last week, the other female seems to be uninterested in food. She is significantly smaller than the others and seems only mildly interested in crickets, not at all in mealworms (which the others love). I gave her a liquid appetite stimulate/electroyte booster which she lapped up quickly and completely. Is there anything else I can do? I keep them on tile so there is no worry on impaction. Also, the last day or so she stays outside the caves laying only on random rocks all the time, is this normal? Hopefully she is just being finicky, but help is appreciated. Thanks.

I am totally new to breeding (my first year) but have had leos for a few years. My female when getting close to laying her eggs will lay outside her hide boxes, and is less interested in food. She just lays around a lot, however she is also very fat before she starts this, and she will still eat some. Please dont take my word as much, like I said, I dont have a lot of experience, but in what little I have had, this is what my female does.
