I have a yearling hognose male who, up until about four and a half weeks ago, was a great feeder. Well, suddenly he stopped eating all together, and I was starting to get worried. He would smell the mice I put in his cage, nudge them with his nose, and then go burrow for a while...
Well, upon reading some of the posts farther down, I found a strategy of "braining" the food item to see if that would intice a feeding response. I tried this last night and the little guy ate, finallY!!
Just wanted to thanks for the help. Though it wasn't in direct response to a post I made, the info was there and it helped out a great deal...
